But it wont, unless the State Govt pays the total cost of re -opening the line
and then charges a track access fee of 0.08 c/ntk or less, as any more and its
still more cost effective to use road transport.
The trucks wont go away simply because there is a rail line there and Id love
to see the State Govt try to legislate to stop the trucks.
They have never had the guts to do this in the past.
If the NSW state govt really wanted to get trucks off the roads then
abolishing track access charges would be the simplest and most effective way.
