Yes there is a reason why the Talgo concept is not acceptable in Australia.

Talgo is proven technology, but old technology, and therefore not attractive
to politicians and entrepreneurs who MUST reinvent the world!

It also doesn't originate from UK, Japan or USA, so therefore it can't be
world's best practice.

I hate being a sceptic,
