To the best of my knowledge, this is the current disposition of the R
class.
R700: With Steamrail Victoria Newport for possible restoration and
conversion to standard gauge.
R704: ARHS museum, North Williamstown.
R707: In operation with 707 operations.
R711: Restoration complete or almost complete and soon to enter
service with West Coast Railway.
R753: With 707 operations for possible restoration and conversion to
standard gauge.
R761: In service with Steamrail Victoria.
R766: In service with R766 inc but operated as part of the Steamrail
fleet.
