Hurstbridge also has sparks stabled there (3 in the down end extensions,

1 loop road remains at Heidelberg - there was a spark there during the
strike of some weeks back, but aside from that, I've never seen sparks
stabled there (in the last couple of weeks there's been track machines
there).

I wonder if they wouldn't consider stabling 2 trains at the former APM
sidings?

While on the subject, during the occupation of an Ivanhoe level
crossing, trains were terminated at Clifton Hill and Macleod. I can
understand choosing Macleod rather than Heidelberg (easier to get
passengers from the train to busses), but am surprised by the non-use of
Fairfield - is the signalling equipment now unavailable?
