Previously there were two road chaches between Brisbane and Murwillumbah
connecting with the XPT. Now one of them runs to/from Helensvale
connecting with trains there.
There are various road coaches connecting with Southern line trains at
Cootamundra. Rather foolishly, the Saturday road coaches to Dubbo and
Mildura depart 3 mins before the Griffith train arrives. It would make
sense to hold these for few more mins, freeing up some seats on the XPT.
Passengers off the XPT have to wait 45 mins anyway as the coaches also
connect off the XPT ex-Melbourne.
The eastbound Indian Pacific no longer stops at Blayney.
