You can't get any pix of 73's at Sarina as this is Plane Creek mill
territory. PC Mill only use converted QR DH class which are a smaller
version of the Walkers Diesel Hydraulic. The first conversion was Pleystowe
Mill's "Walkerston" for the 1995 season. Since then others have been
converted for Mackay Sugar Coop mills. At one stage at least 4 locos in
bits were stored at the site of the old North Eton mill near Mackay. I can't
remember numbers or anything but Mackay Sugar would probably be the single
biggest purchaser of 73's with CSR perhaps next. When you consider that the
Mackay Sugar network is longer and busier than Tasrail this is probably not
surprising.
