I saw about 10 stored at Parkes loco a few years ago, all had their
cardan-shafts oxyed through and tied up. Instead of being unbolted
and tied out of the way like they were supposed to be.
The last of the Parkes fitters expected them to be purchased by scappies
after the engines and the bodies to be cut up.
