Foresight is not a skill, it is a gift. Along with a decent dose of reality
of what is acheivable, and what is not..

Thats nice, I notice you didn't mention that you had in fact contributed
financially.
If you did, I am sure that you would have chosen wisely before parting with
your funds, actually "investing" in a worthy acheivable cause.
Before parting with your labour of love, I am sure you were aware of the
outcome, and had the vision of your work in the grasp of YOUR lifetime.
I am sure that your contribution to preservation WILL be enjoyed by current
generations and hopefully generations to come.
I am still not certain what point you are making.
