Open and Closed goods/frieght yard

Here are a list of open and closed frieght and Marshalling yards in the
sydney suburban area:

Enfield Marshalling yard: 1st yard closed, redeveloped to 2nd yard in 1994
and reopeded in 1995/6, still open.

Rozelle and Glebe Island freight yards: Both Rationalised in the 1980s, used
for depot during the revamp of Enfield during the early 1990s, Most sidings
disappered, stock pile closed in 1980s, Catherine street junction closed
1990? mainly sees private operators and sandstone trains to Merrylands.

Darling Harbour, ultimo and surrounds: Gradually closed between 1980 and
1990. Completely revamped and now a tourist joint, not many traces left of
line.

Sydneyham goods: Closed 1975, 2 tracks left, not used. about too be pulled
up.

Botany and cooks river: still both open.

Fairfield: Closed long time ago, 1960s? now car park.

Homebush saleyards: Closed 1989, now olympic park, not much traces left.

Flemmington: still there, hardly used if ever.
