I was trying to make the point that dollar for dollar a properly thought out and
constructed rail link is better value for money than a road link.

If you think that Windsor is bad you should drive along Cowpasture Rd from Elizabeth DR
to Camden Valley Way, shocking is the best way to describe it with a two lane road that
is full of holes in a area of large scale housing development. And with the new Western
Sydney Orbital being built a private toll way the funds managers are not going too be
happy with this stretch being upgraded to 4 lanes as it will be competition to the toll
way. While I understand that it will improve traffic conditions and safety which can't
be a bad thing. But at the end of the day it will enable more traffic to be channeled on
to the M2. As it will improve travel times to the M2 intersection thus increasing its
attraction to motorists, and reducing road traveling time from Kellyville to the city. I
wonder if any of the RTA traffic modeling for the widening of Windsor Rd have taken
account of this scenario

True. But we should be demanding suitable development ala the satellite city approach to
planning where a person does not have to travel large distances to work wheter it by
public or private transport.

I wish I could share your optimism.
