Are you arguing that QR be split up into several  coal carring companies, a general freight company, several
passenger companies and of course the mandatory track access company all competing against each other while the
Road Transport industry is laughing all the way to the bank.

It all ready has competition.  It called the Road Transport industry which is very heavily subsidized.

It is a down sight more customer focused that the majority of the privately owned railways in Australia. And the
soon to be privatized ones like Freightcorp.
