The main problem is that the big equipment (e.g. tanks) is oversize for
rail transport, and most of them are in Darwin anyway.

The second problem is that the two rapid deployment forces, the 1st and
3rd Brigades, are located in Darwin and Townsville respectively. If they
had to reinforce each other, there is no direct railway.
