Re: Feds have not spent money extracted from motorists.

unfortunately, for many years the federal public service has been decimated
by low pay, many attractive redundancies and a complete loss of corporate
memory. Wages now are such that a person can survive for a year or two and
then they sensibly nick off. privatisation is a great thing because it
diverts lots of public money into private pockets and commercial in
confidence shields it from public and Senate scrutiny. Nobody understands
what it means to obey the law or the Constitution when it comes to the
expenditure of money, And guess what - it will continue that way - the
banana republic full of corruption and stupidity is here to stay, at least
for the next twenty years. the government gloats about its surplus, but
when you think of the amount that has been withheld from road funding, it is
clear that it has been illegally withheld. Now that the secret is out, can
we have a bit of the savings for the Alice to Darwin Railway? not on your
life. Can we have a bit to reduce greenhouse gas emission by improving
public transport - not on your life. can we have a bit to reopen the
Cootamundra - Tumut railway so the Visychipboard factory will not
completely fuck up the roads in the south west - not on your life. Can we
have a lot to pay off the IT outsourcing contractors who help the government
channel money into the private sector - yeah heaps! Can we have some more
to pay off Kerry Packer and the mob over digital tv which nobody watches -
fucken oath - take several million why dont you. But at the end of the day
it doesn't matter because nobody will remember
