Sounds like an excellent idea to me .
However , on what basis is the Cityrail / Countrylink network decided?
Who decides that Cityrail for example ends at Dungog or Goulburn?
Is it the Minister.?
I cant see why we need two totally separate Government administrations
to run passenger trains in NSW.
No other State seems to need this.
There may be some logic if Cityrail is purely limited to the suburban
area,but only if it is vertically integrated , like it used to be in
the days of the NSWGR.
