What an interesting notion - extending the CityRail network to Dubbo.
That would certainly release the Dubbo XPT for duties elsewhere in the
state as the better part of its clientele would almost certainly ditch
the XPT in favour of CityRail buses and/or Railmotors.

Now, does anyone know what to do with a redundant 2+5 XPT Set that is
configured for daylight operations?

Sydney-Broken Hill
Sydney-Mudgee-Gulgong
Melbourne-Adelaide
Casino-Murwillumbah Shuttles (allowing a twice daily Syd-Bne XPT)
Sydney-Robertson-Canberra
Sydney-Cowra-Blayney-Sydney (the low speed limits would kill this one)
Sims??? :-)
