So why is the Pakenham line least punctual. There must be reasons why an
outer suburban double track main line with automatic signalling, boom gates
on the majority of its level crossing's and a fairly low density of traffic
at most times of the day should be causing trouble
And for that matter the Traralgon line is no where near its designed traffic
capacity,so why is it the worst for time keeping?
Obviously some problems have been identified in the recent Faster trains to
Traralgon/Geelong/Ballarat,etc.
Does this mean they can not fix the problem till the third track goes in
between Oakleigh and Dandenong and replace the signalling system some time
in the next 10 years?
It would be interesting to know what Ails ye
