Re: 5 Dead in XPT accident



Saw it on the news tonite!
It was upright, and in a straight line, but the bogie had left the track.
Looks like part of the car had stayed underneath the train, acting like a
ballast plough, forcing the XPT body to  lift clear of the bogie. The
remains of the cabin of the car were unrecognisable, and it appeared, that
survival of this accident was never an option. What speed is allowed here?
possibly 160kph?
This is the second level crossing accident involving XPT this week.
