As electrification Caboolture-Gladstone was not economic, not likely that
Rockhampton north would be. (The economies from Driver Only were essential
to viability.) Queensland has the greatest mileage of abandoned electric
track in Australia I believe if you add up the deviations for the Main Line
Upgrade.John Kerr
