99% is especially good in light of a track fault (broken rail?) on the down
main at Pendle Hill.  When I passed through on the up at 1145 all down
trains were diverted to the suburban line while the problem was fixed.  No
queuing of down trains was seen.

It says something that from what I've observed over the two days that I was
100% confident of making a 2 minute connection at Granville from my up
Mountains service to a down Liverpool service and did with no dramas.
