Anyone know where Alcoota is ?
Also , given that the actual construction of this line is going to
start at Katherine and move both north and south , one wonders exactly
what sods are going to be turned at AP.
I always though that pollies did things like driving the first gold
spike into the first sleeper of the line.
Maybe its a bit hard these days with pandrol clips , not quite as
romantic.
This must be about the 4th start of construction date that Ive heard
from the NT Chief Minister.

First one was May 1998 ,with the line being completely finished next
year, guess weve slipped  a bit.
