Hate to break the news, but the 422's were sold last week or so to ASR (:
At a guess, the 48's are also on their last freightcorp legs. (Freightcorp
legs seem to be a lot weaker than everyone else). RSA already disposed of a
number of 44 and 45 class to GNR recently, still awaiting delivery AFAIK.

You should be able to fit broad guage bogies on most GM locos without much
modification, including QR locos. As a very vague example locomotive D1,
which ran on the Fyansford 3'6" line, became T413 (a change from a 3'6" to
5'3"). Conversely, former T class, CK1 (correct me on the number) which
lived most of it's life on broad guage, has now become 3'6" way down in the
murky depths of South Australia.
