[Vic] R711 Ballast Train 23/3

Busy day on the south west tomorrow.....
plans are as follows:
Warrnambool passes - running as big trains acc. Seniors Week, S302+T369
on 8207/32/37, B61+B76 on 8220/17/46

Great Northern's 376+377 on a ballast no. 9212 ex-Camperdown at 1200,
run to Winchelsea.

R711 light engine ex MEL 1000, arr GEX 1100, to loco and turn, dep 1205
TF to South Geelong (1210), wait cross 9137 (up Waurn Ponds), depart
1240 (or as soon as the Ponderosa passes), TF to Winchelsea. Attach to
lead 9212.

8217, 8232 and 9212 all cross at Winchelsea - so be at Winchelsea at 2pm
and you will find _7_ locomotives, probably a record (and I challenge
anyone to get all 7 in one photograph - stand at the up end, the ballast
will be in no. 3 road (engines facing you), 8217 will be in no. 2 road
(engines away from you), then 8232 will come into view behind 8217 as it
enters the crossing)

9212 departs Winchelsea after 8232 clears Sth Geelong (1430 or so), then
discharges to South Geelong, arrive 1815, follow the 1825 up pass, hence
dep GEX 1829, WRB 1917, arrive Totty Yard 2001.

Note all the ballast trains so far have been late (as has 8232 due to
the 100km/h running), so don't be surprised if it's around 30 mins late.

Happy chasing!
Cheers,
Craig.
