How does an up Glen Waverley train get onto Burnley Through line in one go?
I assume you mean Through line between Burnley and East Richmond.  The only
crossover that will allow such a move is at the up end of East Richmond or
the trains have utilised crossovers under Coppin Street overpass, but this
involves drivers change end of his own train set.
