The ARHS Bulletin, Rolling Stock News (June '00) shows the Millennium cars
on order as 81 in total, ie 41 x D and 40 x N cars.  81 sounds more likely
with CityRail's experience with a couple of written off Tangara D cars.

The real answer to the rolling stock shortage issue will be - subject to the
Millennium cars proving themselves - State Rail taking up the option for the
further 120 cars (was this option included in the contract as initially
proposed?).  Then they can flog the Tulloch trailers off as accommodation.

And if the Millennium cars are as good as they should be they can order more
for PRL needs.
