I was in Urangan in Feb '97, and had a look around the old station site.
The line was removed, but it appeared
to end about 200 metres shy of the jetty.  IIRC the old permanent way
between Urangan station and the jetty had
a park and a toilet block on it.  I don't know when the line was removed
from the jetty, but it would appear to have been
well before the Takura-Pialba-Urangan section was removed.
