Why not  have the Olympic in Melbourne instead of Sydney? :-)

V/line trains currently run on BG only, but fit them with SG bogie is not a
hard thing to do, that will partially solve the problem,

What about interstate traffic then? I don't think there will be any
additional  Indian Pacific, Ghan or XPT?
