There are 2 light rail reserved space in Auckland, airport-wiri, and
another one near Manukau city(for Manukau to Howick line) .

The problem is Auckland city councilers aren't very rail friendly, most
of them prefer buses, new highways rather then rail
(It's a bit like Adelaide). Simple projects like a short brach to
Manukau city, down town Auckland or airport. 1/2 hourly service to
western suburban had never fruitiion let along light rail. Light rail
probabily won't show up for at least the next 5 to 10 years.
