Main North has the most intercity (ie Gosford/Wyong/Newcastle) trains
running on it though--it is as frequent as suburban services in the off
peak. Plus the goods trains that must pass through...it makes it really
difficult to maintain punctuality on the line. When the goods train goes
past you have something like an XPT to Grafton or Brisbane or an Xplorer to
Moree/Armidale. (do they still go to Armidale and split at Werris Creek?)

so much for corporatisation. Might as well do it like down south...sell it
off.
