Re: [Melb] Tram Derailment



In view of this and previous incidents, maybe there is an argument for
instituting the rule that applied to the 2nd generation Sydney tramways,
that points must be reset for the "main" line after being reversed for a
"branch" movement. With DOO, this would have to be done automatically.

On the other hand, perhaps drivers should be reminded of the need to check
the "lie" of all points before proceeding.

Is there a points indicator signal at this junction?
