Wait a second - if Speedrail was building Sydney-Canberra ( and perhaps to
Melbourne) that would form the high speed link for this "eastern seaboard
network". And those people cannot even see that as the first step in this
grand plan ? Crazy !

ps wasn't the project  privetly funded to a extent that they wanted the
extra funds from the government - and that was what they rejected ?
