Yes thats right , the Feds were sort of forced to build the TAR.
Same thing happened with the creation of the NT from the State of SA.
The feds are required to build a railway line from Adelaide to Darwin.
Unfortunately ,in this case no time frame was mentioned so the project
has been defferred ever since.
