That's exactly my point.  This loco (on rare occasion admittedly)
hauled the crack passenger train in one state, when other more powerful
locos were not available.  Even today, it occasionally hauls passenger
trains on the "premier preserved railway" in NSW, and does/has done
passenger service in Victoria (on various gauges), and in WA and Tas as
well.  But no-one seems to know anything about this Versatile, Very
attractive looking, Veteran of the rails, built by Vulcan (and others)
a Very long tome ago.

Now there's a hint or two.
