Seems like a fair bit of pollie speak here.
Can anyone elaborate on exactly where the proposed rail line is going
to go.
I can only presume that it will follow the existing road bypass on the
left hand side ,cross the old Highway at the traffic lights near the
bridge and then continue on across the flood plain to join the
existing line somewhere north of Coal Sidings.
If so, where exactly is the new station going to go , as well as the
proposed new freight facility.
Will the existing rail bridge over the Murray river remain?
Does any of this impact on Albury Station or whats left of Albury
yard.
Interesting also that the Vic Govt wants the feds to contribute to the
guage conversion of whats left of the BG network to SG.
If so, surely then the Feds should also contribute to guage converting
whats left of the country BG network in SA to SG,including Wolseley to
Mt G which thay have consistantly refused to do.
