It was a passenger station that used to service the industries at that
location (the Dairy Farmers milk plant, which is still there and still has
regular FreightCorp tank wagon deliveries), the former Ford assembly plant
(immediately to the east of the line where it crosses Parramatta Road and
the freeway), and a couple of other local industries which I think have all
shut down and disappeared during the last few years of redevelopment of the
Homebush Bay precint.

The Ford plant used to receive rail freight deliveries too, but they had
stopped some years before I went to Enfield from Signals Branch in 1990.

I think it was demolished around the same time as the major work for the
freight line deviation under the 'back' triangle at the northern edge of
Flemington Maintenance Centre was built. I'm still not qualified for Olympic
Park, so I have not worked a train around there since I left Enfield depot
for CityRail in last 1994.

A couple in the morning and the same in the afternoon. In the days prior to
the Olympic facilities when the meatworks, etc. were still in use, there
were extra trains I believe which services the meatworks and the state
brickworks (both were on seperate loops off to the north side of the
freeway). I don't know if there was actually a platform in the brickworks
loop, but before I left Enfield I used to work trains in and out of the
former Saleyards loop since it was still heavily used as a marshalling
location.

Craig.
