Nobody has mentioned yet the run of the diesels from Albury to Melbourne,
conveying two FS sitting carriages.  Originally to be 9.30 ex Albury, the move
must have followed the steam.

Since I posted about the late departure of the bg Mildura train, I was phoned
to be told that the train was so late that it was diverted via Ballarat to
avoid blocking the 12.10 down Bendigo.
