When travelling to Petersham from Sutherland (24.6 + 5.5 = 30.1km), I caught the
07:17 train, and arrived at Petersham at 07:49, a journey time of 32 minutes.
This involved a 1 minute connection at Redfern which I made every day for 4
months except once. On this occasion, I arrived at Petersham 3 minutes later,
at 07:52.

= 56.44 km/h.

Twice the average speed in Sydney. Let's look at the number of stations between
A and B: My trip went past 21 stations. How many for yours?

True, but if you had changed trains at Lidcombe, you could have easily knocked
10 minutes off your journey.
