I guess the ones I saw in Sydney who were doing the same thing were just as
innocent.
I'm a regular on both Cityrail and the Met. The difference is the machines
in Sydney display
CHILD in big fluorescent green letters. Okay I admit I may not be able to
legitimately assume
someone wearing a rolex and carrying a laptop is not a bona fide concession
card holder
(as one concession ticket purchaser had) but I'm pretty darn sure a bloke
with a long black
beard does not really qualify as a child. The simple fact is that waiting
near a metcard machine
for some period of time I saw numerous people purchasing concession tickets
who I would genuinely
doubt were concession card holders. I have not had a ticket checked in the
last three years either.
