Did you actually look at Platform 3?  A casual observer states that there were a
large number of police/ambulance type people there.  The delay at MacDonaldtown
was probably caused by the driver challenging the road into Sydney Terminal.
That is the point of no return for the North Shore.  I suspect that the crush at
16/17 Central would have been avoided had the passengers actually listened to
the Guard's advise to change at Redfern.
