I wouldn't say it was "cooked up": there were a gaggle of police and ambulance
officers milling around on platform 3 near the bottom of the stairs, clucking
over some poor old dear who had collpased/ had a heart attack/ whatever
presumably on an earlier train.
At least the passengers were *informed* of the situation.
