QR - Pineapple Trains

Good Evening All,

It's pineapple season again at Yeppoon, and the trains are running regularly
again on the Rockhampton - Yeppoon line.  The train number is 7Y81 (to
Yeppoon) and 7382 (to Rockhampton).

Departure time from Rockhampton is generally 1230 but has been known to
depart by 1200. This year the departure time from Yeppoon is 1730 instead of
1700 (Oh, bring back daylight saving).

Loco power is usually 1720s in multiple (2x) and train length is usually
18-20 wagons, although on 20/12 1730D struggled up the grades with a 20
wagon train.  On 28/12, 1763D + 1735D had a train of 20 wagons, and today,
1727D + 1730D hauled a 18 wagon train.  1763D is still in the old blue QR
livery, but very faded.

Trains only run Monday to Wednesday.  Apparently there are no slots
available in fast freights to Brisbane on Thursdays, or possibly Fridays.
