I do remember 42220 on a trial trip ex SA in 1980 haul 615 tonnes from a
standing start of 1in40 between Parkes and Orange, but I will have to find
an old WTT to see what the load was for a normal 422.

As I remember it 1800hp locomotives were given the same tonnage rating.
