Trams Currently In Service
Only three cities in Australia run tram services: Adelaide, Melbourne and
Sydney.
Adelaide and Sydney each have only a single line - Melbourne alone
has a major tram system. Australian trams are all
double-ended (i.e. have driver's controls at both ends) and
run on a 1435 mm gauge, 600 volt DC system (Sydney 750 V).
