A 3 car Connex
Comeng set went to the Flemington Racecourse after 10 30 Wed for the VRC
launch of the second class platform.
This was the first of it's type to do so, as none are
running the regular trains for the cup due to through running of RCE
trains to Sandringham, there were concerns over vandalism on that line.
The second platform at Racecourse was used at the
height of forward and
return Race Traffic on, Derby Day, Cup Day and Oaks Day.
