SATURDAY 9th & SUNDAY 10th, SEPTEMBER, 2000
FREIGHT TRAIN DIVERSIONS

Due to major works (pit renewal) at Albion, on the weekend 9-10th SEP 2000, some freight trains were diverted onto the Broadmeadows line, certainly the longest and the only "real" freight trains on the line for some time.

All Bendigo VLP trains were piloted through the occupation.

9351 Tocumwal Goods
Normally follows behind the Spark Transfer
through Somerton on Saturday Mornings.

RAN VIA ALBION SATURDAY MORNING

Sunday 10th

9084 Echuca (and then to Deniliquin) goods
Sunday night via Toolamba (POSSIBLY via ESD to BMS)

STATUS:

9319/9439 Kilmore East/Westall Pioneer Quarry Train
Sunday night quarry trains WILL run via Essendon
(for a Sunday night it is West Tower - Kilmore East and is about Approx. 1830 out of Melbourne (1909 BMS)
The return 9340 is Kilmore East - Westall (2258 BMS)

9430 NORTH MELBOURNE 2245
CONSIST: G514 (V/Line) + 21 FV Quarry Hoppers

KEN NIGHT 10-09-00.jpg (79851 bytes) The shot we missed - Kensington on the same night just moments before we gave up and left - and the train came through :/  We still saw it and heard it though, but I'm afraid you cant!  A lesson learnt the hard way - please don't do the same stupid thing!
