Bridge Structures
Cat.2 - Exposed Beam construction including prestressed
concrete girders with a timber, steel or concrete deck with external crash
beams provided immediately in advance of the bridges' superstructure (in
other words if a truck hits the bridge, after it gets past the crash
beams, then the bridge is stuffed)
Cat.3 - Steel beams totally encased in concrete to
form a solid superstructure and also include masonary
arches and reinforced concrete
structures (in other words, a bomb to destroy bridge)
