Yes, for a relatively short distance, entirely under Hyde Park.  Just
long enough to clear the City Railway tunnels, so they wouldn't be
disrupted by any later construction of a proposed railway to the
Eastern Suburbs.

No.  That was part of JJC Bradfield's grand plan for Sydney's suburban
railways but it was never implemented.
