Very few Tangaras have operable indicator boards, and only two sets have legible
ones, one of which the control box is missing, meaning it can't be changed.

The S set indicator boards have the same control unit as on the busses, and work
most of the time (when the driver types the numbers in). However, I don't
believe that any drivers have been trained in their operation, except for a
sticker in most cabs. As their use would be an extra duty, I also wonder if a
few cents an hour pay rise would be appropriate for drivers to use them?
