Re: Sydney Rail strike tomorrow



It was a non-event as far as I could see. Most trains that ran in the 
mornings (on the Illawarra to/from Sutherland anyway) ran half-empty.

Keeping much of the system open and calling it a "strike" isn't going to 
make much impact as far as the unions are concerned. Why didn't they go 
the whole hog and shut the whole system down? And for days, not hours! 
That may have gone somewhere toward the unions' objective of bringing SRA 
mgmt to its knees.
