Abe, you obviously know nothing about railways, politics or the etiquette of
this newsgroup.
Although railways are no longer operated by the Victorian government, the
running of them is still heavily influenced by the government of the day
(i.e. subsidies, taxes, contracts).
Roads are still owned by the Government and roads have a very significant
impact on the rail industry. If a government has a very strong roads policy
(i.e. allowing B triples everywhere, pouring millions into constructing new
roads etc.) it could be detrimental to the rail industry.

So there you go, why not use your brain before you start jabbing away at your
keyboard.

BTW -Where do you get off telling one of the longer serving members of the
group to "Piss Off". It is not the sort of BAD MANNERS that we like here. I
have never seen your name on anything posted here before, do you hide behind
an alias? That sort of language is infantile and plain bad "nettequette".
