Re: level crossing near misses, was Re: problems at ringwood

The same things used to happen at a level crossing
in the Brisbane suburb of Geebung. Because there
was an intersection with traffic lights just 10m
past the level crossing the cars had no choice but
wait on the tracks, which is a very scary thing
considering that the speed limit on the line there
is 100km/h and a visibility of 30m down the line.
Since then they finally fixed it by synchronising
the traffic lights with the level crossing lights.
I'm just wondering if there were any near misses
with that particular one though.
